Talks / Conferences / Awards / Distinctions
The European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology held its yearly research event from 1st to 5th June 2019 in Lisbon, Portugal. The research field of Environmental Bioinformatics at UNIKA-T, which is headed by Professor Dr. Avidan Neumann, presented news on Atopic Eczema - a chronic inflammatory skin disease which delimits life quality of patients. Neumann presented news on the microbiome with regards to therapy of atopic eczema by a possible reduction of the bacterium S. aures which is overrepresented on the skin of eczema patients. For this, a combination of two kinases brought first results.
|The research field of Bioinformatics contributes significantly to the avaialbility and interpretability of data that either stem from laboratory work or clinical studies. However, bioinformatics can also create its own research results.|
